Description :

New introduction for Sept 2023!

We first introduced this great cross as a seed-grown item under BE-4016 in April 2020 and then in July 2021 it was released as assorted clones out of microprop as BE-4045. As so many different individual clones are involved in both releases, there are varying colorations. Most people make a distinction between those with uniform colored, or ‘solid’ peristomes and those with peristomes which have varying degrees of stripes to them. Ideally, we would separate the two types at the lab level and release them, but that process takes several years - we’re on it! In the meantime, we’ve hand-selected plants in the nursery for either uniform peristomes or striped peristomes and are releasing them under two new BE-codes. This is the striped version as BE-4605 and the uniform version will follow as BE-4606.

The female parent is well known, so we have shown a photo of the male parent at the end of the series.

Origin: Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics from specimen parent plants.

First introduced: Sep 2023 on the wholesale auctions

Photo notes: Photos are of representative clones and may not be identical to plants shipped.

Source: A random selection from a large number of different clones out of microprop.

Climate: Highland
